Introduction
I have worked for many years as a photographer and in the late 1980s I gained an interest in using computers as a potential photographic tool. In that period there was much talk about digital cameras and the general concensus was that the digital camera would replace the film camera within a year . . . right!
Fast forward 10 or 15 years and we still don't have a 35mm digital camera that will equal the quality of the film camera, however, I can now safely say that within a year we likely will have that digital camera equal to or even better than its film counterpart. Digital cameras have come a long way since the early 1990s and are already in frequent use by many professional photographers as the quality of the output of these cameras currently almost rivals that of film cameras.
Owing to these interests, I became very proficient using and maintaining Mac computers and in fact, became equally as interested in Mac computers as in photography. Much later, I even started combining my design skills as a photographer to build web sites and became even more proficient operating and troubleshooting Macs.
So finally I took the plunge, put all those years of Mac experience to good use and after working for Apple Computer created MacDNA, a Mac consulting and service company and LearnTen a Mac training company. This background experience has helped make me highly proficient in real world Mac consulting, service and training and my ongoing personal training which usually keeps me busy at least 2 hours a day, keeps me current with all technical aspects of the Mac.
